General Operating Guide
- Sit upright in a comfortable position where possible.
- Hold the incentive spirometer upright.
- Breathe out normally.
- Place the mouthpiece in the mouth and seal the lips around it.
- Inhale deeply and steadily to raise one, two or three balls according to the prescribed breathing exercise.
- Hold the breath briefly as directed.
- Remove the mouthpiece and exhale slowly.
- Relax and breathe normally before repeating the exercise according to clinical instructions.
